Welcome to my new home

Hello! Welcome to my new home on the web.

The purpose of this blog is just as the title says: for me to write. I'm going to pick a prompt from a Pinterest board and write until the idea fizzles out; some posts will be long, some will be short, most will be somewhere in between. I am constantly adding to that board, so (ideally) the ideas should never fun out.

I decided to do this because I've lost interest in my passion. I love to write. I love the adventure, world building, getting to know the characters, and watching their stories unfold before my eyes. Due to living with depression, I lost my passion for writing. This is my way of trying to get it back. Even on days when I think I don't have time or just don't want to, I will put my butt in my chair and write up a new post for y'all to read.

I've realized I'm not ready for long stories. Sure, I've written a couple short stories and even a 45k word novel since beginning to deal with my depression, but right now I feel like I have ALL the ideas but all the words are not forthcoming. Hopefully writing something shorter without putting pressure on myself will unlock the key to writing that longer novel again.

To the right, you might notice I have a couple pages listed, The Spiral Defenders Series and The Vampire's Daughter. Both are pages for books I've written. As of right now, they're not finished but I plan to get them together soon. :)
